Have You Acquired an Infection During a Stay in Hospital?
By leveraging sophisticated data analytics, cutting-edge technologies, and artificial intelligence, we are confident in our ability to glean meaningful insights from extensive healthcare data. Such insights are crucial for pinpointing high-risk situations, forecasting possible outbreaks, and crafting interventions with the greatest impact. Beyond hospital discharge, we prioritise tailored monitoring for patients at high risk, aiming to diminish infection rates and overall hospital admissions. Our commitment to transparency is key to empowering patients and motivating healthcare providers to maintain the utmost infection control standards

Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) are Defined by The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC)
Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) refer to infections that patients contract either directly or indirectly as a consequence of healthcare procedures or settings. They stand as one of the prevalent adverse effects encountered by hospitalised patients. Beyond inflicting undue distress and agony on both patients and their families, HAIs can significantly extend the duration of a hospital stay and substantially increase healthcare delivery costs.

Purpose of The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC)
Our mission is to enhance health outcomes and patient experiences across the board, while also fostering greater efficiency and sustainability within the healthcare system through national leadership and coordination of improvements in healthcare safety and quality.
At the heart of this, the Commission is dedicated to safeguarding individuals during their healthcare journey and ensuring they receive the appropriate care they need.
Specific to HAIs The ACSQHC has a Prevention Program Aiming:
“To reduce HAIs by providing resources that support systems and strategies to prevent infection and manage infections effectively when they occur”.
